About Us 2001-2007


 
Jubilee House Retreat Center is located in the beautiful highlands of southwest Virginia on the edge of the historic town of Abingdon. Its gentle pastoral setting provides a peaceful environment for those seeking refreshment and reflection. Mountain View
Built in the Jubilee Year 2000 by Bishop Walter Sullivan, Jubilee is owned and operated by the Catholic Diocese of Richmond. People of all faith traditions are welcome. A local ecumenical board works with the Director to create an atmosphere of hospitality and peacefulness.
Individuals or groups are welcome at Jubilee House for day use or overnight meetings and programs. Jubilee House also sponsors retreats on a variety of spiritual topics.
 
We invite you to Jubilee House for:

   •  your organization's meetings
   •  training sessions
   •  planning sessions
Whenever you need to come aside to reflect and be renewed.

How to Help in our Ministries
Volunteers
   Jubilee House is grateful for all who have volunteered their talents to clean, cook, answer phones, clerical help and many other tasks from behind the scenes. Call to make known your willingness.
Scholarships
   Anyone who wishes may contribute to our scholarship fund which is used for those who may not have the available finances to attend a retreat. If you wish to apply for a scholarship for one of our programs, please call for more information.
Memorial Gift and Living Tribute Fund
   This fund has been established to enable people to make a monetary gift honoring the life or memory of a loved one. We are most grateful to the groups and individuals who have responded to this invitation.
